Tim Berger is the Managing Partner for Lux Air Jet Centers. With 15 years of FBO ownership experience, Tim has owned and operated 6 FBO’s in Arizona and California with consistent fuel sales and EBITDA growth at each location. Under Mr. Berger’s leadership, Tim and his team have grown fuel sales at the Phoenix-Goodyear airport to over 1.6 million annual gallons by focusing on all aspects of customer service.
Mr. Berger’s interest and involvement in the aviation industry began in high school, when he held a line service position. Mr. Berger started his professional career in various technical and software development positions with IBM and Lockheed Martin. He founded a software company that he grew to 35 employees over the course of five years, before returning to the aviation industry in 2000.
Mr. Berger is a graduate from Arizona State University’s College of Engineering and has a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is also in the process of completing his private pilot’s license.
Lux Air Jet Centers is a corporate sponsor of Sky Kids a charity dedicated to offering children with special needs an opportunity to fly in a general aviation aircraft. With over 500 flights provided to special needs children in Arizona, Lux Air is proud to provide staff and facilities annually for this event.
Mr. Berger was a founding board member for Hoops of Hope, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping orphaned children in Africa due to the HIV/Aids epidemic. The organization celebrated its fourth year, and thanks to the generosity of its supporters, Hoops of Hope raised over $500,000 while Tim was a board member.
